
Prison Sentence of Akpazar Co-Mayor upheld by court

	DERSİM – The 3 years 4 months of prison sentence given to Akpazar Co-Mayor Orhan Çelebi who was dismissed from office and replaced by a trustee, was upheld by the Court of Appeals.&nbsp;

	&nbsp;

	The 3 years 4 months of prison sentence given to the Dersim's Akpazar (Peri) Co-Mayor Orhan Çelebi by the Ankara 17th High Criminal Court with the accusation of 'being a member of an illegal organization' was brought before the Court of Appeals on the objection of his lawyers. Examining the decision, 21st Ankara Regional Court of Justice, upheld the 3 years 4 months of prison sentence.

	Stating that they will appeal to the Supreme Court, Çelebi said: "Our legal struggle will continue. We will succeed."
